LES KOUBA
Known by many for his "famous 13" subjects, Les Kouba has done much for the wildlife he paints. His contribution to Ducks Unlimited, for example, has raised over $7 million. He was named Minnesota DU Artist of the Year and was the Pheasants Forever Artist of the Year for 1993.
Kouba's achievements include winning the Federal Duck Stamp Contest in both 1958 and 1967. He has also designed over 35 conservation stamp prints designs. Winner of innumerable awards, Kouba was the recipient of the 1980 King Charles award, Czech Museum, Prague, Czechoslovakia. He was also the 1976 DU International Artist of the Year.
